Letter o Editor: In answer to the article by Robert Whittemore, on Lat., Tone 10, As a member of the local Election Board, I would like to sh6 every person who has a right to vote registered. This is @ simple process and only take @ malnate to complete. There are registration days in every election district and they taken hours that gives every one an opportunity to register. If people can find the time to come in and vote on Election Day they can find time to register if they are interested. Why burden the taxpayer further to set up special days for people who are so apathetic on the subject that they can't bother with this right they are given to take the time to attend to it themselves. The simple answer to the problem is to make a ruling that before you can get your sheriff ID card you must register to vote. That would take care of a lot of registrations. I also wonder how many of the demonstrators are re gistered to vote. They find time for that. The League of Women Voters would be better to appeal to the unregistered voters than to the Central Election Board. I don't think that any more effort should be expended for the 18 - 21 year olds to register than has been done in the past for the over 21s. Rights carry re sponsibility, MINNIE BEAMS, Scheneyys
