John legan, 85,III Two Weeks,Died on SundayA requiem mass is being held this (Wednesday) morning in the Elma Immaculate Conception Cath-i olic church for John Regan, 85, uf Elma, who died in the New Hampton hospital Sunday. Death was attributed to advanced age. He was a hospital patient two weeks.Offering the funeral mass was the pastor, the Rev. Joseph Weber. Burial was in the Elma Calvary cemetery.Mr. Regan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Regan, was born at Waukon, March 14, 1881. He eame to the Elma community as a young man and attended the local schools. He was married to Josephine Irvin and Mr. and Mrs. Regan became the parents of three children, two of whom survive,Mr, Regan was a retired farmer at the time of his death and amember of the Elma Immaculate Conception church.Surviving Mr. Regan are two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Florio) liaugen of Alta Vista, and Mrs. Harold (Kathleen) Thiele of El ma; 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mi’s. Katie I-Iolstad of Elma.Preceding Mr. Regan in death were his wife, who died September 23, 1965; one son, Lieutenant Gerald Regan, who was killed in World war II service, and one grandson.Attending the services from _ a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Daniel ■ Regan of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bussey of Harmony, Mr. and Mrs. James Eaton of Cedar Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent McKeogh of Waukon, William Re gnn of McFarland, Wisconsin, and others from St. Paul, Austin, Rice-ville, New Hampton and surrounding towns.
