Lieut. R. E. Fletcher of 1110 Made line street, will arrive tomorrow to visit his mother, Mr. Douglas But ler, and his wife and three-months old son, Richard Earl Fletcher Jr. Lieutenant Fletcher has been sta tioned in North Africa with the 12th Bomb Group since July of 1942, and has not yet seen his in fant son. Lieutenant Fletcher was gradu ated from El Paso High School in 1936, and attended the College of Mines for two years, before going to the University of Texas, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He received his commission in December, 1941, at Stockton Field, Calif. * * COL. W. J. REARDON TRANSFERRED TO FT. KNOX Col. W. J. Reardon, who was for merly stationed at Fort Bliss with the Eighth Cavalry, has been trans ferred from Camp Chaffee, Ark., to Fort Knox, Ky., where he will be executive officer of the Armored Force School. Colonel Reardon was well known in El Paso. He is an expert polo player. His wife is the former Frances Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon C. Miller of 4107 Trowbridge street. She was graduated from El Paso High School in 1931 and from the College of Mines in 1935. She was a school beauty and active in Little Theatre groups. The couple were married in El Paso in June 1941. FORMER EP MAN VISITS ON COAST Victor M. Torres, former El Paso an, has recently returned from the war zone in the Pacific for a 30-day furlough to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel C. Torres ,of 411 Ocean boulevard, Long Beach, Calif. He attended El Paso High School and El Paso Technical Institute. He was in Pearl Harbor at the time of the attack, and this is his first furlough since that time. Siege NARCOTICS AGENT ENTER ARMY SERVICE Gillmor Failor, U. S. Bureau of Narcotics agent in charge of El Paso, was to leave today for Dallas for duty as a first lieutenant in the Army. He is a reserve officer. ~ 7 REDRU H. SAVAGE IS MADE CAPTAIN Ledru H. Savage of 3516 Clinton street was recently promoted from First Lieutenant to Captain, in the Chemical Warfare Service at Edge wood Arsenal, Md. 7 DAVID PORRAS GRADUATE OF MECHANICS SCHOOL David Porras, son of Mrs. Susana V. Porras of 403 South Kansas street, was graduated from airplane mechanics school at Sheppard Field this week. PVT. ANTONIO HIDALGO AT REPLACEMENT CENTER Pvt. Antonio F. Hidalgo, of 501 North Copia street, has been as signed to Camp Robinson, Ark., for training in the Medical Replace ment Center.
