Carrintgon. soloist; Wil-helmina M. CTosson, lecturer; Alma Ruth Kitt, artist; GertrudeF. Smith, mulrr; mi'l I-etitin J.Stewart, accompanist. | niAfter viewing the exquisite art , treasures of Miss Kitt, which evoked the highest praise, the guests assembled to listen to the program. The rich, mezzo-soprano voice of Alberta M. Carrington, the inspiring lecture of Wilhelm-ina M. Crosson, “Through Magic Doors of Negro Literature,” ana a group of readings by Gertrude E. Smith, given in her delightful style, pleased the audience. The president, Ileltfh E. Dane, greeted thq guests and then awarded the Aristo annual scholarship to Clarence Elam of the Roxhury Memorial High School, who is an honor student. She then introduced Dr. Dorothy Boulding Ferrebeo, the supreme basileus of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, who is here from Washington attending her class reunion at Simmons.A beautifully decorated tea table, formally set with a gleaming silver serivce at each end, greeted the guests when they were invited into the dining room.
