Designed Exterior Court In Exposition Building Kindred McLeary, who graduat ed from the department of archi tecture in the University in 1925 and was later an instructor in the department, has recently been awarded second prize in the A. W. Brown traveling scholarship com petition for his design of an ex terior court in an exposition build ing, by a jury of five architects. This prize carries a $250 award. There were 105 designs submitted by architects and draftsmen from all sections of the country. An article in the June number of Pencil Points magazine states in regards to Mr. McLeary’s work: “The general scheme is good and is well worked out; the pylons at the ends of the wings are interest ing.” Mr. McLeary’s home is in Colum bus, and he is now teaching at the Carnegie Technological School in Pittsburgh, Pa. A reproduction of the design ap pears in the June Pencil Points and may be seen in the architec tural library in B. Hall.
