The discovery of the gold stolen on the Barwon was made through a warder of Darlinghurst gaol, named Carroll, to whom one of the prisoners committed for the robbery had given the information. Important and very necessary improvements are about to be made at the Maymarket by the Municipal Council of Sydney.
