Cassinelli, said “space has been sacrificed for individual comfort” in the renovated building. It will seat 468 persons —a decrease of 100 seats fromthe previous arrangement. About 5,000 square feet is included on the two floors — main and balcony — allowing 727 square inches per person.The building has been rebuilt on modern lines in keeping with all regulations, State and Federal, regarding fireproofing.It includes a new and unusual feature in the accoustical plaster of the type used to “moth-ball” ships following World War II. The firm doing this work will have a photographer present to cover the opening night since it is the first (theatre it has finished in this man-‘ ner.f The building Includes 13-inch firewalls, and concrete and steel floors and stairs. The gypsum roof-deck is supported by steel. All exit doors are automaticallycontrolled from levers at central locations.Service doors are ^teel-lined as well as the porthole shutters....*XT..
