Wesley — Graduation and ad vancement exercises for Cub Scouts were held Sunday eve ning, June 10 in the Legion hall, Michael Richter and Charles Smith graduated from Cub Scout ing; Steven Daughn received a wolf badge; 7 boys received bear badges; Irvin Martin, Dwight Hauptman, Dan Arndorfer, James Raney, Roger Flom, Robert Ol son, Joe Smith and Douglas Downs. Dr. L. L. Pfeffer was presented the charter by Everett Barr of Al gona, the district commissioner; Mrs. Erma Kunz and Mrs. Mil dred Arndorfer, den mothers; Reese Martin, Cub master, Dr. L. L. Pfeffer, representative and Leonard Arndorfer, Vincent Daughn, Francis Hauptman and Erling Flom received cards of re cognition. Mrs. Kunz and mem bers of den ] presented an Arab ian skit and a Mexican skit. A county picnic and meeting at the Call state park at Algona, June 19, is planned. Both Girl Scout troops will en tertain their mothers at a 5 o’clock tea at the Methodist church Friday afternoon, June 13. Troop 1 had a picnic at the Her Ter Wise grove Wednesday, June 13. Mrs. Keith Pegram, who taught inublic schoolg leader of Troop 1, but Mrs. L. L. Pfeifer, leader of Troop 2 will also meet with Troop 1 on alternate weeks during the summer.
