The death took place on Friday June Ath, of another neighbor an respected citizen of MacGregor in the person of Mr. John Ward at the age of four score years. Mr. Ward came west in 1602, from Seaforth, Ont, where he carried on the business of harness maker. For a number of years he continued at the business in Car berry and MacGregor. Seven years ago he retired from business and since then has, with Mrs. Ward, resided with their daughter Mrs. M.R. Little. He had always enjoyed good health until the last few months, since when he had been gradually failing. Besides his aged widow, he is survived by one daugther—Mrs. Little, of MacGregor, and four sons in Alberta, viz., William, of Sexsmith; Charles and George, of Lamont; and Randolph, of Drum_ heller. The funeral was held from St Paul's church to the MacGregor cemetery on Sunday afternoon when Mr. Hopkinson, of Sidney conducted the services, in the pres ence of a large number of neigh bors and friends.
