Do your part and plan to decorate your homes and places of business for the Fourth of July. STEVENS COUNTY GRANGERS ATTEND STATE MEETING Stevens county was well repre sented by grange delegates at the annual session of the Washington State Grange held at Port Angeles last week. The new list of state officers includes the name of Bert Curry, well known rancher of Mey ers Falls, former head of the county Pomona, who was elected assistant steward. The state officers are: William Bouck, of Sedro Woolley, master; Fred Nelson, Seattle, over seer; L. L. Todd, Benton county, lec turer; M. C. Hazen, of Snohomish, eoward; Bert Curry, Meyers Falls, sistant steward; Mrs. Lara Bouck, Sedro Woolley, chaplain; Frank Field of Snohomish, treasurer; F. W. Lew is, Tumwater, secretary; C. R. Cot trell, gatekeeper. Mrs. A. Kegley of Spokane was chosen as Pomona, Mrs. Dora Nelson, Seattle, Flora, J. J. Chamberlain, Puyallup, mem ber executive committee. Resolutions occupied most of the session on the last day. Among them was one which included plans for the development of an insurance department with the warehouse companies, SIX-DAY CELEBRATION AT INCHELIUM, JUNE 30-JULY . From June 30 to July 5 the Inland Empire is invited to the Victory Celebration at Inchelium. The an nual celebration of the Fourth of July at Inchelium with its pictur esque Indian sports and festivities, horse races, bucking contests, base ball and other attractions, is becom ing an event which draws large crowds each year. This year Nes pelem joins with Inchelium in cele brating the Fourth of July week. C. W. Lawson, Indian farmer, will be grand marshal of the entire celebration and William Buckley of Colville will have charge of the racing program. The first three days are to be devoted largely to Indian sports and the program will be composed of horse races, foot races, bucking contests, Indian stick games, Indian war dances, etc. July 3, 4 and 5, there will be other contests and a series of baseball names in which the teams from Re public, Colville, Chewelah, Hunters, Nespelem, Spokane Indian Reser vation and Inchelium are expected to play. The new Inchelium flour mills will begin to make flour om the Fourth of July, an event in which the whole neighboring territory is interested. The Hon. W. E. Hum phries will make a patriotic address July 4. The committee in charge of the entertainment includes C. W. Lawson, H. G. Parmeter, Chas. P. Bennett, R. R. Coleman, chairman.
