One enters the theatre for a recess remtrance. This has been finished with j side walls of a pale green, and a white jetal ceiling. The woodwork is finished in mahogany. The ticket of ice occupies 2 place in the center, and to either side are the entrances. Inside the theatre there is 2 slope s toward the front so that rear seat holders can secure an excellent view ‘of the stage. There are three tiers ‘of chairs across the hall, and two wide aisles. The chairs are ‘placed four to either side of the aisles, and a tier of seven occupies the center of the hall. The interior is finished with a dark shade of brown on the side walls up about four feet, and then a pretty buff to the ceiling. The ceiling is of metal ,and is painted white. In the center for the ceiling there is a large ventilat or, which will insure an ample sup ply of fresh air at all times. Over the rear of the theatre, a place for the operator of the moving picture mach ine has been constructed. This place is eight by fourteen feet and is lined ae steel and asbestos and embodies the very latest ideas in building a booth for the purpose intended. Bar ging the holes for the lantern, this compartment is shut off from the rest of the house. In the front an orchestra pit has been made and will provide room for an orchestra of 12 or 15 pieces. The stage is 16 by 17 feet. The canvas arranged on a frame which is worked on a track, and may be kept to the front or pushed back to the rear, and the whole stage made available for other purposes. There are two exit doors in the rear ,opening into a wide alley. The whole floor from Market street through to the rear is so arranged that there are no steps. While the floor has a drop from the street to the orchestra pit of five feet, yet all is cared for by a gradual slope. There is a six foot -wide incline from the orchestra pit to rear exit doors. The total exit space in the front, and to the rear measures 22 feet, and insures an easy and quick emptting of the building in case of any trouble. Six electric fans are used in the in terior and will insure a good circula tion of cool air at all the performanc es. The building is also well lighted by electric lights. Lloyd C. Culler was the contractor and the decorating was done by Hen ri Lampe. Theatre Two Years Old. Keller Bros. are proprietors of the Marvel, and the management of the theatre is looked after by O. J. Kel ler. It was two years ago last April that Messrs. Keller opened the Mar vel Theatre in the Castle building. From the beginning the venture was a success, and the attendance became such that a larger room was neces ary, and the building where the the atre is now housed was leased. Messrs. Keller last night announced that they would continue to operate the house at an exclusive moving picture show, and give the best pictures obtainable at the price that was charged at the old theatre. The new theatre is of their own designing and after plans which they found most desirable for the moving picture business in their experience of the past two years.
