Penter is from Amador county, bis people living just below Plymouth years ago. Daniels leaves a wife and live children.The coroner’s jury beard the testimony of Hart and Varozza, and rendered a verdict tbat Penter shot and killed the deceased in self-defense. The jurors wore William Shaw, D. C. Wickham, C. G. Celio, Oliver Hart, O. B. Peaseley, Wm. J. Hart, Thos. J. Higgins,David C. Polkinbome and James H. Franklin.Like tha Georgetown case, this trouble arises out or intoxicating liquors. There will probably be no trial, as it seems clear that Penter was just-itied in shooting under the circumstances. No arms were found on Daniels or about the premises, and ha never was in the habit of going armed as he relied ou bis great strength and activity to carry him through his quarrels. It is supposed that he intended, in his drunken fury, to beat Penter again for haviug threatened
