Public meeting.03At a meeting of the citizens of New Harmony, held at the Mansion House, on Wednesday evening, 2une12, 1845, pursuant to previous notice,for the purpose of appointing delegates to attend the Convention for the improvement of the Wabash river, to be held at Mt. Carmel, 111. on Monday, the 16th inst., Samuel Arthur was called to the Chair, and Alex?r Burns, Jr. appointed Secretary,The Chairman having stated the object of the meeting, the following gentlemen were appointed delegates to attend the Convention, with power to till vacancies aud add to their number, viz: Sam‘1 Arthur, N. G, NcUol-ton, Dr. J. S. Mann, L. D. Stickney, E. J. Roger?, Dr. Arza Lee, .Judge Twigg, Riclvd Owen, Aaron Lichlcn-berger, W. C. Pelham, John Elliott, Sanrl Humphreys, John Hugo, Major Morehead, and Jas. Whitson.On motion of John Mills, Esq.Resolved, That the Editor of the Statesman be requested to publish the proceedings of this meeting.On motion of E. T.
