GETTYSBURG TEENER LEAGUE Eagles 4, Schindler 2 Eagles clinched the American Division with a win over the National Division champions Wednesday. The league playoffs begin Saturday at 5 p.m. at the Ree Park. After playing to four scoreless innings, Eagles plated three runs in the fifth and another in the sixth to take the lead for good. Despite the loss, Schindler out hit Eagles 8-4 but committed four errors. Matt Hageman doubled for Eagles. For Schindler, Jesse Trail tripled and Paul Krenzer and Brian Smith each doubled. UPPER ADAMS BABE RUTH Gastley’s 14, Braves 5 Gastley’s scored 12 of the final 14 runs to defeat the Braves Wednesday at Fairfield. Shawn Crmkilton recorded three hits and Gilbert Reinhart added two hits for Gastley’s. Nick Kugler and Brian Piper each had two hits for the Braves. ADAMS-CUMBERLAND East Berlin Orioles 12, Lake Meade Braves 2 The Orioles out-hit the Braves 11-3 in a 13-15 year-old game Wednesday. Darren Bevenour, Davey Zaminski and David Kline dou bled for the Orioles. Nathan Nell was 3-for-2 and Matt Warner was 2-for-2 for the Orioles. Reading Township Mac Jays 19, Lake Meade Braves Derek Schmelgan was 3-for-4 with two home runs, includng grand slam, for the Blue Jays Tuesday in an 11-12 year-old game. Ronald McCreary, Matt Spahr and Clayton Noble tripled for the Blue Jays. McCreary and Spahr added doubles. MINOR LEAGUE Strickland 16, Glass Lock Shop 12 Ben Westhafer had a double and two RBI for Strickland in Monday’s win over Glass Lack Shop. Brian Hutchinson hit a home run for Glass Lack Shop.
