Zindel was a passenger for Davenport, there to do some trading for the farm,Mr. and Mrs. Cris Baumgarn of Rock Island .1!!., arc here visiting his brother, Hans Baumgarn for a few days.W. P. Ketelsen was more than pleased the w-ay his neighbors and brethren used him Saturday night. His honor served to them his choicest •of wines and a table full or eatables which all did partakj of and in the dance hall they did dance to the sweet strains of music of Strasser’s band, ail having a grand eventful time during the night.j J. C, Swarm of Brushville, Iowa, was in town to take cars for Davenport Friday.Hubert Hener was a passenger for Davenport, there to see his many little friends.Cris Voss was a passenger for Davenport, there to visit with his son, Wm. Iowa agent for the 'Security Fire Insurance Co. of Davenport, was in town to pay the loss by which the company sustained here by the lightning killing a eOvv for Cris Boeling. The loss was $30. which was ;promptly paid.J. C. Harrison of Big Rock, Iowa, was in town Saturday.The bird and crock smashing dance, was well attended. There was at least 500 people who attended W. P. Koteisen's dance Saturday night.John N. Everts, news agent, was a passenger for Davenport Monday morning and' called upon’ the news staff of that city with a list of sub-scrrppbns.The land excursionists that left hero fast week were T. N. Stinger, L. Michel, H. Steffen, J. Stinebeck. They went to Fargo, (North Dakota, also will visit other p»ints before they return.John Greve was a passenger for the city, there to take in the scenes.Mrs. V. Slaub of Franklin, Iowa, left for home after a very pleasant visit hero with her daughter, Mrs. J. M. Nebel. .Mrs. H. B.
