Moore, of Flint Hill, St. Charles^ co Mo.,departed this life May 9th, 1! 56. Sis'ter Me re was born in the town of St. Charles, Mo., August 80th, 1841; professed religion under the pastoral labors of Bov. B. P. Johnson, andjoined the M.‘ E. Church in 1856 was unite'd in marriage to Mr. B. F. Moore, April 23d,1857..The disease' which terminated her mortal life was consumption. Although her health had been poor-for some time, yet no serious alarm was felt by friends until a few months before her death. .Indeed, she did hot seemfully to appreciate her real condition until a few weeki before the losing scene. She was not, however, alarmed at the near approach ofdissolution, but was submissive and resigned. The writer visited, her during her brief confinement, and found her ever cherishing the Christian’s hope, and her,heart sustained and comforted by the promised assurances of eternal life rev aled id the bible, and that inner light of grace which pointed to the mmortal-ity of the letter land. To her sorrowing husband, whom she called to her bedside but a few days before her death, she gave counselijf regard, to her Little son and daughter. She spoko tenderly of her ties to earth, now soon to he sovlt; ed by doath, hut anticipated happy greetings in the g y* world. He suffered much, having been in a declining state of health for months previous to his exit.
