M. a tornado struck the steamboat Hornet, Captain John Sullivan, ol Kanawha then on her wav from Cincinnati to Kanawha when she upset,ind from ten to fifteen persons were drowned, among them Capt. Sullivan, John Johnson, pilot, the chambermaid of the boat, Mr. Garrett of Greenupsburg, and a Mr. Duvall passenger; names of the others not known at present.
