Yefterday afterhoon,f during the thunderftbrm, one of the ferry boats, in crofting over from the Fly Market to Brooklyn, with about 30 paftengers, a chair and 3 horfes on board, upfet, and we are informed twelve or fifteen perfons were drowned. Their names we have not been able to learn. Another boat, belonging to the upper ferry, upfet in the fame fquall, but the paftengers were picked up. ‘Mr. Jafon Fairbanks and Mifs ElizabethFales, of Dedham in Maftachufetts, each aged about 24 years, having conceived a mutual attachment, and meeting with forneobftacles to their union in marriage, met agreement on the 18th inftant, in a thicket of birches near her fathers houfe, when {be cut her own throat in a fhocking manner.
