Shelby, the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs James Shelby, died Monday May 26 at 7:00 p.m.He was born June 15, 1911. In 1933 he was married to the late Miss Minerva Alberts To this union 5 children were born, 4 girls and 1 boy.He leaves to mourn his passing a mother and father , Mr. and Mrs. James Shelby of Lexington; daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Holland, Mrs. Ardie Mae Henderson, Mrs. Willie Cleveland, all of FtWorth, Miss Elnora Shelby of Yuma, Arizona; Charles Shelby of Lexington and J.C. Binins and Quintus Moore of San Antonio; 5 sisters, Mrs. Alice L. Gentry o fGiddings, Mrs Elnora Anderson of Italy, Mrs Ola Mae Verse of Elgin, Mrs. Myrtle R. Roberson of Ft. Worth, Mrs. Rutha Mae Morrison of Dallas; 3 brothers Mr Horace Shelby of Lubbock, Mr. James Shelby Jr. of Philadelphia, Pa., Mr. T.L. Shelby of Dallas . One brother and four sisters preceeded him in death. He also leaves 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.Pallbearers were Bill Hollins,i11David Albert, George Albert, L.C. Gentry, Charles Verse and Allen Carothers Internment was in the Coppers Cemetery under the direction of Moses Funeral Home of Giddings.
