Roy AlonzogTaylort #* * *Funeral services for Roy Alonzo Taylor, 67, were held Sunday, June 8, at Pace Funeral Home with the Rev. C. L. Moore officiating. Burial was in the Center Grove Cemetery. Mr. Taylor died Friday, June 6.He was bom July 11,1908 at Hortense, the son of John B. and Minnie Gertrude Taylor. He attended school at Hortense and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After his discharge in 1943, Mr. Taylor returned to his work as a truck driver working for various lumber companies. In 1956 he was married to Bernice Warren. He had lived all his life in Polk County and at the time of his death he was living with his sister near Livingston. He attended the Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife of Leggett; a son, LeRoy Taylor of Leggett; and a sister, Mrs. Allie Morris of Livingston.Pallbearers were Horace Beaty, Cone Beaty, Noll Hickman, Jack O'Neil, Mike Davis and B., C. Galloway.
