Dick Hopkins, manager of the Bi-Lo Market, and two of his sons, Richard and Robert, are vacationing in Estes Park, Colo., this week. They left Sunday, and plan on returning this weekend. Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Moles were visitors at Holdrege last week end, and also went fishing on Johnson’s Lake. They visited their nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Sann and family, and were, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pownan, all of Holdrege. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Rennick and family of Greenville, Miss., are spending their summer vacation here in Fairbury. Mrs. Rennick is a sister of Mrs. T. R. Moses. Mrs. Eugene Jochens and baby daughter, Christine of Lincoln, visited at the home of her mother, Mrs. R. O. Prather over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Preston Sr. and daughters, Connie and Patty, Mrs. Preston’s father, J. C. New comb, and Rev. M. Q. Stevenson, went to Lincoln, Tuesday. Rev. Stevenson and Fred Preston Sr. attended the Presbytery while there. Bob Brannen arrived here Tuesday from Hollywood, Calif., where he had been attending a radio television school. He will spend the summer here with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Brannen and family. Mrs. Elizabeth Turnbull is visit ing friends and relatives in Omaha this week. Tuesday and Wednesday she was a guest of Mrs. T. C. Kubick and family of Council Bluffs, Iowa, whom she accompanied to Council Bluffs Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Dressler and daughter, Barbara, were in Lin coln Sunday and Monday at tending the University of Neb raska baccalaureate service Sun day and commencement on Mon day, their daughter, and sister, Margaret, receiving her bachelor of arts degree. Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Friesen and Don drove to Bethany, Okla., last week to attend the baccalar ate service and commencement, June 3 at Bethany Peniel college. Olga, who attended college there, accompanied her parents home. Mr. and Mrs. David Riggle, Mr. and Mrs. George Junker and two children, and Mrs. Howard Pres ton went to Holyoke, Colo., Mon day, June 2, to attend a nephew’s wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Mc Cormick at the Holyoke Methodist church there. They returned home last Saturday. Jacob Wiens of San Jose, Calif. visited with friends here over the weekend. He attended the funeral of his mother at Hender son, Nebr., last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Henney and daughter, Nancy, left today, (Thursday), for a vacation in the western part of Nebraska and a fishing trip. Places they will stop are Lexington, Scottsbluff, Chadron, and Long Pine, Nebr. They plan on returning about the first date in July. Elaine, Jer’ who attended Bethany Peniel college at Beth any, Okla., is spending her sum mer vacation with her father, Julius Wittler of Jansen. Edwin’ Michels and Miss Ramona Gammel of Oakland, Nebr., were weekend guests of his father, Martin Michels and sisters, Miss ® aVerna Michels and Mrs. Philip Wineinger. Mrs. Walter Wilson of St. Paul, Nebr., arrived Tuesday for a few days visit with her son, Vern Wilson, and a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.. Clair Brannen and family.
