Association, in the box, will show their mettle tomorrow af-Atemoon at Lincoln park, the game being called at 3 o’clock.The' local management have*iplayers. They have secured- two new players. Tehy have secured two newpitchers, a catcher and a hard-hitting■outfielder. The pitchers are WemanCecil, of Joplin. Also Walter Cole-• ■ *■* *man, Jr., of Bunceton, a son of thefamous-Walter Coleman, who was• ,one. of the best pitchers in the state*•** »and was the crack pitcher for Jefferson City i.ii the early nineties, when Joe Ruwart, Charley Dewey, SidLindley, Jack Freman, Tony Berry,►Bud Dodge, and Red Watkins composed one of the ibest teams that ever j represented this city, and played at the old Cottage Place Park, bounded by Miller and McCarty, Lafayette and Marshall. Young Coleman is . reputed ,tobe a good pitcher, and with, almost as much speed as his famous dad, only j he is a right-hander, whereas his dad was a southpaw. The new outfielder’s name is Elder, and is said.to be a bearcat in the outfield and at the bat. We did not learn the name of the new catcher.
