The popular vote system prevails in that county, and the canvass concluded on the day referred to, is said to j L have been a very exciting one. Particular-Jy was this true as to the candidates for the Legislature, thc*fight; having, virtually reduced itself tlt;j a contest between the j} friends and admirers of Senator, Cameron and those of Ex-Governor Curtin. Mr. Harbrson,- who represented the county In the last Legislature, voted for Cameron for; i United States Senator, when it was alleged 11 he should have supported Gov, Curtin.
