Cluilallont:i Democratic Association.At a meeting of the Democratic Association of Chulahoma, the Committee appointed to draft resolutions submitted the following which were unanimously adopted:—1. Resolved, That this Association high-|y approve tire late nomination ol James K Polk tor President and Silas Wright as Vice President, by the Democratic Convention held at Baltimore on the 27th of May, and that we will use all laudable means to secure their election and we hope and be'ievethe Democracy ot the whole Uniun will unite on them.2. Resolved, That we are opposed to a National Bank in any form and that such an institution is contrary to the spirit and genius of our institutions, the power not being given by the Constitution, and we hold the doctrine of giving Congiess no more power than is expressly given in that instrument.3. Resolved, That we arc opposed to n Protective Tariff*, an d are in favor of a Tariff in view of Revenue alone, that we are opposed to the Distribution of the proceeds of the public lauds among the States, believing it an unconstitutional measure, that it is a demagogue boon to the people, while in reality it is robbing them of their substance in the shape of an odious Protective Tariff*.1. Resolved, That we are in favor of the Annexation of Texas, believing that it will add to the safety and interest, not only of thd South but of the whole Union.The meeting was addressed by J. II. Kilpatrick, in a very forcible and eloquent style, proving that the Democracy have nothing to (ear in having him the expounder of their principles.
