Pocono board denies pllt;TANNERSV1LLE — The Pocono Township Planning Commissioners refused to approve plans for planned unit development Monday night after the developer was found to be in violation of other township ordinances.Zoning and Codes Officer Jerry Thornton told commissioners that George Strzelczyk .was operating an unapproved sewer system and was occupying a trailer without a permit.Strzelczyk was attending the meeting to ask the commissioners to approve an addition to a trailer development on Stadden Road.He said a sewerage permit had been issued to him but he had not received final approval or disapproval and added that didn’t have any bearing on his present request.Thornton said he had informed Strzelczyk by phone -after an inspection that'the system was not adequate and had been denied approval until changes could be made.Strzelczyk replied that he was aware of the regulations' but didn’t make the changes because of the new plans.“I’ve been harassed so much by Jerry that I hesitated to take care of it (the sewerage violation) until this (the new plans) is taken care of,” he said.Chairman Stuart Pipher interrupted the exchange between the two men by saying Thornton had a job to do which wasn’t aiways pleasant.Thornton recommended that the commission not approve Strzelczyk’s request until he complies with the sewerage and occupation ordinances.The commission also received a report from engineer John J. Levkulic which outlined items which were omitted
