‘Drifting And Dreaming’ Theme Of Graduation“Drifting and Dreaming” was the name and the theme fcf this year's graduation bafl at Laramie School, 14950 S. Laramie Ave. Held in the Laramie gym on Saturday, May 24, the evening not only provided an enjoyable time for the graduates, it gave than an opportunity to honor their teachers.Presenting gifts from the class to the homeroom teachers and school administrators were John Beachum to Mr. Capper; Cheryl Robertson to Mr. O'Reilly; Jim Walsh to Mrs. Scarlett; JimCochran to Mr. Schuit; Jean Crowley to Mrs. Watson;■„John Gaetano to Miss Gil-• lies; Joim Cochran to theprincipal, Mrs. Kerkstra; and Colleen Lacey to the Superintendent of District 142, Mr. Foster.The crowing of a king and queen and the presentation of the Royal Court also took place. The King was John Gross and the Queen was Debbie Riddle. The members of the court were Marje Smith, Mark Osier, Charles Lester, Michelle Krol. Lar-rv Johnson, Sharon Birkhol-*tz, Terry Racine, and Sue Brozenec.Music for the dance was provided by the group known as “The Negative Image” led by John Beke.The graduates danced ina beutiful setting and enjoyed excellent refreshments made possible through the effots of the eighth grade room mother’s committee, under the chairmanship of 'Mrs. Howard Yardley. The monbers of her committee included Mrs. Warren Johnson, Mrs. Charles Persch-bacher, Mrs. Charles Swanson, Mrs. Russell Pocock, Mrs. Edward Otte. Mrs. Ralph Woerheide, Mrs. Harold Michalak, and Mrs. Frank Smith. A special thanks to others who also assisted: Mrs. Robert Rosenbaum, Mrs. Franz Van Bereren, Mrs. Frank Sekosky, Mrs. James Harrington, and Mrs. George Reed.
