Staff Sergeant Charles A. Rettig, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Ret tig, 406 South Fifth St., Hayti, has been assigned to the G-4 section of Headquarters VII U.S. Army Corps, Austin, Texas. A graduate of the non-commis sioned Officers Academy at Fort , he participated in the 1952, Third Korean Winter and Summer 1953 Campa igns of the Korean War. He has served in Iceland and before com ing to VIII Corps was supply ser geant of Company B, 2nd Battalion, 19gth Infantry, in Gablingen, Ger many. Among his awards and decora tions are the Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal with three Battles S-Sgt. CHARLES A, RETTIG
