GROESBECK (Sp.) — Lime stone County commissioners Mon day voted to close two roads in the county, hired a Jewett man to mow the soil conservation dams in the county, and hired four auxiliary employes to po lice the area at Comanche Cross ing for the Juneteenth celebra tion. The county officials closed a short road between the Barron and Patterson places. The road, which runs north and south, is approximately 2,000 feet in length. The other road is approximate ly one mile in length and begins at the John Rogers’ homeplace, and rung west to the Webb Gar rett place. The commissioners also a lloyed R. I. Butler of Jewett to s mow conservation dams, and, agreed to pay Mr. Butler $3.00 an hour for use of his tractor and $1.15 an hour for his helpers. It was announced that the county ‘is not liable for accidents on the Tw other action, the county of ficials hired Coit Orum, Hubert Carreth, Love Smith and Emory Huckaby to assist Sheriff Connor Spivey in policing the Juneteenth celebration for three days at $7.00 per day for each man.
