Ceremonies will be held Fri day, July 16, to commemorate the establishment of the first consolidated vocational high school in Mississippi. On this date in 1910 the Woolmarket Vo cational Consolidated High School was established. On Tuesday at 2 p.m. a meet ing will be held at the Biloxi t Chamber of Commerce to plan for the program. The committee from Woolmar ket is headed by Mrs. A. W. Arm strong, president of the Wool market Garden Club. The Cham ber of Commerce will be repre sented by the county relations and neighboring communities committee of which Russ Mur fee is chairman, and also the agricultural and forestry com mittee of which Melvin G. Ness is chairman. The city and county delegates will be headed by Mayor Laz Quave and Supervisor Dewey i Lawrence. Biloxi merchants and others who are interested in the program are invited to attend the meeting Tuesday afternoon. In honor of the Woolmarket event, the Chamber of Commerce has secured a Mississippi histor ical commemoration marker. This marker will be erected on High way 55. A plaque honoring the Woolmarket school is being pro vided by the Chamber of Com merce. Both will be unveiled on the afternoon of July 16.
