Fayetteville, Ark.—Although work iow daily as a porter in a local bar ber shop, George Ballard is rapidly, gaining a reputation of being a poet and by his verse is attracting the attention, interest and favorable com ment of literary critics throughout the state. Ballard writes poetry as a side no and for his own amusement and re cently some of his work found their way into the columns of one of the dailies and attracted the attention of studente and teachers of the Univer sly of Arkansas.
