Three Hundred Noisy~Youngsters Splash About Pool at Public Park ALL HAVE WONDERFUL TIME Faces and Hands Are Thoroughly Cleaned. Water Temerature Reported at 75 An unusual spectacle was wit nessed by many wandering citi zens late yesterday afternoon who observed that East Sixth street was populated largely by youngsters of all ares, wending a weary homeward way, singly, in groups, swinging towels and bathing suits as they trudged along. But, the greatest marvel was their shining countenances, spot less hands, and general washed out appearance. Never had the city observed so many clean children. Tuesday, as the kids well know, is free day at the city plunge. Any student possessing a bathing suit and a towel will be admitted into the popular watering place free of charge on that day. Yesterday, being a mild early summer day, the pool was soggy with ’em. Girls and boys to the number of 300 or more kept the water agitated throughout the day. James Davis, plunge man ager, declared the atmosphere was a continual babble throughout the day and that everybody had a wonderful time. There was an unusual number of adults, also, at the plunge during the day. The water tem perature was 15 degrees, just about right for an invigorating splash. Patrons are finding the plunge a2 most convenient affair for a good time and it promises to be one of the busiest corners of town during the summer time. It will remain open evenings until 7:30 o’clock. Should there be patrons at that time wishing to stay longer it will remain op en until 9:30. The plunge is cleaned thorely twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays. Monday is given to the Mexican children, when they may have free use of the pool.
