PALOS CISTERNYIELDS BODY OFVictim Bound With Wire andDrowned In Abandoned FarmWell In Forest Preserve,93rd and 100th AvenueMAY BE “ALKY” VICTIMPalos Forest Preserve gave up another murder mystery Tuesday.Bound hand and foot with wires and weighted with stones and bricks, the body of a man about 35 years old, who had been shot through the head, was discovered Tuesday in a cistern xn the forest preserve, near 93rd St. and 100th Ave., Palos Township.Apparently the man had been murdered about a month ago—posisblymore, according to the county high-idvway police who took the body from the water.The victim was about 5 feet 11 inches tall, dark with heavy black hair. He wore a suit of dark blue, a shirt of grayish silk, a black necktie, and patent leather shoes. On one of the fingers was a gold, ring set with a blue stone. On the belt was a buckle with the initial A.The sole police theory is that the man, who seemed to be a Sicilian or ah Italian, had been “taken for a ride” and assassinated by his enemies. Chief Leroy Davidson of the county highway police believs from the circumstantial evidence that the .death should be laid to the alcohol or beerwars.i % . ►refused to drink. Other members of the family notified the county highway police at Willow Springs and Lieut.
