Obituary.Mary Ellen Mack, daughter of Rev. Levi M. Mack, was born May, 3rd,'1831. Bhe departed this life at Hot Springs, South Dakota, May 25th, 1909. She was married to Kev. Joseph S. Phillips In the Sailors Bethel church at Buffalo, New York, by Rev. Griffith, July 17th, 1853. Lovingly and loyally aide by side, they fought the battles of life for tlfty six years and twenty-two d tys. Prom her childhood she was an earnest, devoted Christian aud never filled or faltered in the path of duty. Modest aud retiring, she dosired to be remembered ooly »v what she had done. Truly a mother in Israel has left us. Her last days were made happy aud pleasant by the presenoe of the Lord and the kindly ministrations of friends who knew und loved let. Her remains were laid to rest in tue beautiful Wood lawn cemetery at Sioux Falls, feeling that she is not dead but sleeping. May those who so kindly ministered to us in the hour of bereavement lack no kindly voice to oheer and comfort them at their close of life. J.8.P. -
