Governor Sholdon lias issued the following orders in reference to rustlers and other parties who disturb the peace and make life n burden to the good citizens of tho territory.Executive Office, Tf.h’tv okN. M. ( Santa Fe, Juno 8, 1882. \ oknehal obdek ho 11.I. That the lives and property of the |Htople of Now Mexico may be pro-tected. and the public peace maintained, officers commanding militia organizations, will furnish the sheriffof eoun-tics und constables of precincts I be necessary force to execute all writs or pro-cobs of law. civil as well as criminal, when called upon by hiicIi sherdl or constables.II. Such militia officers will also furnish the mavor or other chief Authority of municipal corporations tho necessary force when demanded, to suppress riots or mobs, and to preserve tho public peace.III. Whenever information shall he received by such commanding officers that there is a riot, mob or demonstration of violence in their vicinity, they will at once employ the necessary forceto suppress the source, and arrest the offenders and turn them over to the nearest civil authority having jurisdiction of the offense.IV. Whenever tho ••rustlers'1 or •cowboys, or other desperadoes shallcommit depredations upon the persons or property of citizens, such commanding officers will at once pursue anil capture such offenders, at any cost, turning them over to tho proper civil authority anil rostoro all stolen property to it* ownor. 1 JV.
