Funeral Services Held For Dean MaltbyFrancis Dean, son of the : late Aven and Bula Maltby, passed away in Palm Springs. Florida June 1, 1976,Dean was born in AdairCounty, Missouri January 23, 1924, and with his parents moved to Colorado the following year. He grew to manhood around the Matheson and Simla communities and graduated from Simla High School in 1941. 6Following his graduation he served in the Navy for 20 years.In 1947 he was united in marriage to Norma Rent of Boston. To this union two daughters were born. After his retirement from the Navy he and his wife owned and operated The Canine Beauty Salon in Reveria Beach, Florida until his illness forced him to close the shop.He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Norma, daughters Diane Kohl and Barbara Rose; granddaughter Kimberly Ann Rose; grandsons John Gregory and Jeffery Dean Kohl, also one step-son and wife and three step-grand-children of Boston; several aunts and cousins in Missouri and Iowa and one aunt, Forrest Moreland, of Colorado Springs.Funeral services were held in Lake Worth, Florida on Thursday, June 4, with E. Earl Smith Mortuary in charge and cremation following.
