I7resent the suggestion that it might be “Caddy”.Why should it be Caddy or Ogopogo or any of the variety cf sea creatures which have4been reported from the far corners of the seas? Can’t we have our own special member of Neptune’s flock?This was “Gospel Gib”, sent by Proteus to be the mascot, the myth, the tourist attraction, or whatever you like, for this area. Let’s make something of the fellow instead of sittingback humbly suggesting thiit hebelong to someone else. Surely he meant to be taken for “gospel” or’he wouldn’t have appeared where he did.Cloe Day
