m M’ FLORENCE OLSON was hon or guest at two prenuptial com over the week-end. She is to married Thursday afternoon of this week to Freeman Whiting of Eau Claire. The company will be at the English Lutheran church. Mise Josephine Schmauch enter tained Friday afternoon for Miss O son at her home, 631 South Eleventh street. Twenty eight were in the company and the gift to the bride elect was a large silver vase. Bou quets of swansonia were used in the rooms. An unique decoration effect was achieved on the mantel piece where a miniature bride in elaborate dress and long trailing veil was placed as if walking to the altar. The guests were Mmes, Jacob Ruplin, Gus Sexauer, Clarence Sexauer, Alexan der Ambrosius, Amelia Meir, Louis Meiir, Arthur Meir, Nordal Elstad, Herman Freise, Carl Gorder, Florus Stellingware, Ed Schome, Frank Strupp, Kenneth Kuebler of Viroqua, E. Wynona Hauser, Austin Crook, Joseph Smith, Cassius Haller, Lee Mott, Eliza Scofield, A Haller, John Krause and Emil Olson, Misses Elia Ambrosius, Mildred Olson and Victoria Schmauch Saturday evening Mrs F W Heath, Miss Anna Lysaker and Miss Eloda Bell entertained at dinner at the Trane Tea Rooms for Miss Olson. The gift to her was an electric per colator. Euphemia Ogle Miss Amanda Newman was hostess to ten guests at 6:30 dinner Thurs day evening at the Elks club in hon or of Miss Euphemia Ogle, a summer bride. The table decorations were pink and white, with a large center piece of flowers. A corsage marked the place of the honor guest. She was presented with an ivory silk bed spread. The evening was spent play ing bridge and prizes were won by Mrs. Romeo Ross and Miss Irene Van Ruden. Lila Lee Friday evening Mrs. Gus Pappas and Miss Alice Molstad entertained at a shower as a prenuptial compli ment to Miss Lila Lee, who is to be married this week. The shower was at the former's home, 239 South Eighth street, and the bride-to-be was presented with an electric iron. Din ner was served at 6:30, the other guests being Misses Alma Lee, Marie Elsen, Borghild Knutson, Harriett Moe, Mariam and Helen Mills and Ruth Kaaz, Mmes. Bernt Lee, Sam Roden, Fred Henry and Robert Roth. Mrs. Henry and Mrs. Roden also entertained for the bride-elect who is their sister On this occasion she was presented with linen. About twenty-five were entertained. Miss Lee was surprised Tuesday evening by a party of fifteen girls at the home of Miss Marie Elsen. An at tractive polychrome mirror was the guests’ gift to the bride-elect. Clara Thill Mrs. George Thill and Mrs. Christ Hammes were hostesses Friday eve ning at a prenuptial shower for Miss Clara Thill, a June bride. The show er was at the home of the bride-elect, 1417 South Seventh street. She was presented with a set of dishes and other gifts. Guests were Mmes. An ton Gilles, Peter Balduzzi, Joseph Piesche, William Zierke, Anton Ham mes, Katherine Delphenich, Michael Steinborn, Joseph Karl, Delbert Mer rill, Charles Koch and Peter Thill, Misses Clara Miller and Louise Gilles. Those from out of the city were Mrs. Helen McDarmoth of Butte, Mont., Mrs. Fred Zisch and daughter Weno nah and Mrs. Roy Johnston and chil dren of La Crescent.
