Spell of Dixon Bound Overto Grand Jury.Samuel H Sjm iI, who was arrested Monday in Iixon on a charge of malicious mischief un3 Tuesday morning arraigned beforlt; Justice William L. Leech. He was defended by Attorney John B. Crabtreo who took change of venue to Justice A. O. Harris’ court Mrs. Rose Spell and son l*Yed appeared as witnesses for the prosecution which was conducted by Assistant States Attorney II A Kd wards The testimony showed Mrs. Spell obtained a divorce from Mr Spell at the January term of court in 1903, 011 the grounds of drunkenness. Mr. Spell left the city but returned some time ago. While away hi* was shot in the head, as will be remembered and it is thought the wound has affected his mind. He has threatened the life of hts former wife and has prowled around her home In Rose hivvn pulling up vegetaables and bombarding the* house with stones.Justice Harris held him over unde** bonds of ,$f»00 to the September grand jury He was unable to secure bonds men and will spi nd the summer in the county jail
