Tho Fourth District 'I'll Ini l*matyMot'tlliK.LaCuanok, Ga., June H. The People’s Party ot the Fourth Congressional district met pursuant to y call, at the court-house, |this morning at 10 o’clock. It was evident from the beginning tl)Ht they were disappointed in the crowd present. Some ot the counties were represented by the full number of delegates. Others were not. For example, Coweta had one man on hand in the person of Uncle Jimmie Carmical, wjio rose to his feet and said he wanted somebody to come in from Coweta and look after affairs, and notwithstanding the fact that Uncle Jimmie came of his own accord the convention decided he was entitled to cast Coweta’s four votes, which he did. There were from seventy to one hundred present, including delegates and all. The convention met for the nurpose of selecting delegates to the National Convention of the People’s, Party, which meets at Omaha on the 4th ot Julv next.Col. J. II. Traylor was made temporary chairman, hut held his position for only u few moments. The convention wanted another man, and they were not long in selecting one. That man was Hon. Koscoe (iorman, of the county of Talbot.
