Convention-to Organize the Wabash ValleyRailroad.TIio Toledo Republican of the 28th ult., hda tho following letter:Logans port, Ind., May 25, 1852.-Messrs. Editors:—The greatest enthusiasm prevails, along the line of the Wabash, for tho immediate organization of tho “Lake Erie 8£’ Mississippi Railroad Co.” A general convention of all the interests in this great project has been called to meet in Logansport Ind., on the 23dof June, prox., for tho purpose of effecting organizations for parts, or tho whole of the line. I an-' derstand thatsomo of the most actiy* managers of tho Eastern roads purpose bpuig' present at tho convention, and as Now J3ogland roads ^re equally intqre»ted in the success of the, enter-prize, a representation from the entire, railroad community of New York State and NewTJtig^' land is expected. As the action of the convention will certainly determine the location of part if not tho entire line of tho road, it is expected and desired that all points in the line from Port Huron, in Michigan to Springfield and St. Louis should be properly represented.Thoro is, undoubtedly, sufficient interest dd several parts of this great line to secure the cod-' struction of local roads; but if the many elements, can bo mode to unite and occupy one cominod p’atform in this convention, the entire line of tho contemplated road can be more successfully prosf ecuted than any constituent parts of it* at least this is the view I entertain.Respectfnlly, your obft eerv’t,T.
