EPITOMEOf the Proceedings of the MedicalSociety.THE Society of the 5th Medical district, of the State of Indiana, met at the Lafayette Hotel, Rushville, on Monday the first day of May, 1837. Present Dr s. Mason, Martin, Heim, Sexton, Ar-noid, Duncan, Cox, Miller, Raymond, Paramore, Rose, Sharp, Smith, R. Cog-ley, Bracken, Frame, and Brown. William Clifford, Elias Poston, and James Blades were admitted to attend the sittings of the Society, as students of Medicine. The Society proceeded to the e-lection of officers: Whereupon Dr. Win. H. Martin was elected President, Dr. D. A. Cox, Vice President, Dr. A. Carter Treasurer, Dr. R. T. Brown, Secretary, and Drs. P. Mason, H. G. Sexton and J. Helm, Censors.
