Miss Jonnie Pross, daugh ter of Mr. Mrs. Leo W. Pross of Nashua, has been accept ed as a member of the Youth Service Corps of the Ameri can Lutheran Church as signed to the Woodward State Hospital School during the coming summer. Members of the Corps will be honored at a reception at the Hospital School upon their arrival on Sunday, June 13. They will participate in a week-long orientation session beginning the following day. Upon completion of orien tation, Corps members will be assigned to various wards throughout the institution where they will develop pro grams designed to provide one-to-one assistance to the mentally retarded residents of the Hospital School in self help skills and development al play activities. They will also assist with the summer education program and with a variety of recreation acti vities. On weekends they will visit churches throughout the state to tell of their experi ences at Woodward. The Youth Service Corps members will work at full eight-hour day as volunteers five days a week for a four week period. After a one week camping vacation, they will return to the institution for a final four-week work session. Their summer acti vities will conclude August 14.
