Newton Holifield departed this life at his home eight miles from Laurel, on Saturday night last, after a week's illness from measles. Deceased was 24 years old and is survived by hi* wife and one child. He was a worthy member of the Baptist church and died in the faith. Funeral took place Sunday afternoon with interment at the Clark graveyard. The bereaved young wife and child have the sympa* tby of many friends.
