A BLOODY POUN DING.One of the most bloody and one-sided conflicts that has disgraced the streets for a long time occurred at about 7 o'clock last evening at the corner of Third and Hock Island streets. It was between Ben McCreliias and George Morris. The trouble originated about three months ago, when they becamo bitter enemies over some female. The enmity has increased as time passed by and yesterday evening at the supper table (both board at the same place) wrathful words passed between' them. Ben got up first and walked over to a saloon on Third and Rock Island streets with his brother, Bill McCreliias. George Morris came along and asked the brothers to drink with him and they refused on account of the old grudge. Morris was drunk at the time and was incensed at this. He talked strongly to McCreliias and walked out on the sidewalk. McCreliias followed, and after more talk on the part of both, McCreliias hauled off and hit Morris a heavy blow between the eyes, knocking him Into the stone gutter. He followed the blow up, hitting the helpless Morris with his fists until he was tired, and then kicking him. in the body and face until Deputy Sheriff Quinn and his son Tom, the blacksmith, came and pulled him off. The police arrived after a while and arrested both ilcCrellias and Morris, whose face was terribly battered and bloody, while his body was much bruised. McCreliias was afterward released on ball.totallMiamDrsisterde;cejbo*lU!Tlieh a r foi an lef bo tei foi tio tblt; addohaThaidfoiye’1Mitheminobosio
