News and notes from the Nebish area- • f■ Mrs. Fred PeckMr.and Mrs. Richard Pears and family, Fairbanks, Alaska arrived Thursday. They came to attend the funeral their, son Tony Pears who w$s killed in a motorcycle accident inAlaska. The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the St. Johns Catholic Church in Nebish. The Pears are former Nebish residents. Our sympathy goes to the Pears.A graduation picnic was held at the Ervei Sande home on Sunday, May 20. Those graduating were: GreggSande son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervei Sande; Mike Sande son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Sande Bemidji; Bradley Page son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Page, Bemidji; Stanley Mistic son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Mistic Jr., Brenda Mistic daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mistic. Other guests Were Mrs. Pete Mistic Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Russell Smith and^Mr. Martin Sande, Bemidji and Ray Sweeney, Blackduck. k»A' community graduation party was held at the Bernard Mistic home May 27 for the following graduates: Stanley Mistic, Jeff Mistic, Mike Mistic, Bemie Mistic, and Robin Eiehstadt.Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brock and son Shane, Eureka, Montana are visiting at the Lawrence and Mickey Mistic homes.instead of June 1st. Note change of date.May 25th weekend visitors at the Fred Peck and Ella Hovde homes Pupraky were Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Peck, Sandra and Connie, Intl. Falls. LeRoy Peck’s and Mrs. Ella Hovde, Mr. and. Mrs. Delbert Peck and family Bemidji were Sunday May 29 all day guests.6 week vacation to Yugoslavia to visit her father’and other relatives. Melinda Jaekovich is staying and doing chores at their home. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Reese, Iowa were weekend guests of her sister at Nebish and also his folks at Leo’s Resort, Walker.Mr. ant! Mrs. LeonardGrangers were Sunday p.m. guests of their daughter Mr. and Mrs. Paul Weidenborner, Shooks. Mr. Philip Granger, Bemidji treated his folks Mr.and Mrs. Leonard Granger and Eugene to a supper at the Highway* Host. • Veronica Gamble and Regina Frerizil arid Morris Quiring called at the Granger home Tuesday a.m.Mr. Ron Gitiman, Troy and Lownel; Linda and Amy Shofner called at the Fred Peck Wednesday evening.Mr. and Mrs. Dawn Itloux, Baudette called at the Russell C.
