Miss April Ann Stevenson and Donald John Erickson were united in marriage May 13, 1972 in the courtyard of First Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln, Nebraska at 3:00 p.m. Dr. A. O. Vannershall, Chaplain at Ne braska Wesleyan University per formed the double ring ceremony. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Stevenson of Lincoln. Mr. Fred C. Yeutter of Cozad is the bride's grand father. Mr. and Mrs. Philip H. Erickson of Benedict, Nebraska, are the groom's parents. Mrs. Ruth E. Holmberg of Stromsburg is the groom’s grandmother. The bride, escorted by her father, appeared in an ankle length ivory peasant gown. She wore a laurel of spring flowers in her hair and carried a nosegay of yellow and white daisies, yellow and pink roses and baby's breath. Miss Jane Holloway of Fairbury, Nebraska was maid of honor. Her gown was ankle length burnt orange peasant style. Mrs. Richard Erickson of Lincoln, Miss Judy Erickson of Benedict, sister of the groom, Miss Sara Stevenson and Miss Joy Stevenson of Lincoln, sisters of the bride were brides maids. Their gowns were ankle length peasant style in shades of gold, spring green, lavender and blue. They carried white and yellow daisies and wore laurels of spring flowers in their hair. Richard Erickson of Lincoln, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Owen Stevenson of Lincoln, brother of the bride, David Vogt, Papillion; Mike Garlow, Omaha; Ray Clark, Scotia; and ushers were John Pignatore, Wayne, New Jersey; Tom Lauerman, Stromsburg; Kevin Baker, Stromsburg; Randy Baker, Stromsburg; and Tom Potts, Oakland, California. A flute ensemble of Mrs. Dan Howell of Lincoln, Lyle Juracek and Miss Mary Jo Wilkinson of Lincoln played the wedding music and accompanied Miss Peggy Holloway of Fairbury who sang “‘You’ve Got A Friend’’. The reception was held in Fellowship Hall of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. The wedding cake was surrounded by yellow rosebuds on a crocheted tablecloth made by the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Jane Stevenson of Lincoln, and served by Mrs. Harold Towne of Hart ford, Conn., aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Reynold Hanson, Stromsburg, aunt of the groom. Coffee was served by Mrs. W. H. Stevenson, Alma, Nebraska, and Josephine Erickson, New York City, aunt of the groom. Mrs. Kenneth Morse of Omaha and Mrs. Herb Hanson of Stroms burg served the punch. The gift table was attended by Miss Kathie Griffis and Miss Pam Mickey both of Lincoln. The guest book was attended by Miss Terry Yost and Miss Aneeta Speirs, both of Kearney. The mother of the bride wore a floor length gown of spring green and deep blue. The groom’s mother wore a floor length gown of blue and ivory. The bride and groom will live near Benedict this summer and plan to return to Nebraska Wesleyan University in the fall. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Erickson
