Mrs. Frances Stuart, Art Instructor at the Bronxville School, will be in charge of Arts and Crafts and Robert Brown of the music faculty will be in charge of music.The program at Playschool for children four, five and six years-old will be under Mrs. Jean Weir and Miss Marie Schaefer. These children will have opportunity for constructive outdoor and indoor play, including: block building, clay and paint, playground equipment and dramatic play.Final registration for Daycamp and Playschool will be from 10:00 A. M. to 2:00 P. M. on Friday, June 9, in the Reception Room at the Bronxville School.BOB ANDERSON HOMERobert B. Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ewen C. Anderson, 27 Studio Lane, has returned home for the summer recess following completion of a year of study at Vermont Academy. Over the weekend He attended Vermont Academy’s 66th Commencement exercises at which 55 seniors from 14 states 1'eceived diplomas.During the fall Anderson played football, skied during the winter, and is on the tennis squad. Coon of the Bronxville Women’s Club will conduct an all day workshop at the club Tuesday, June 13, starting at 10:00 a.m. Department members are reminded to bring workiner materials, flowers, foli-FRANCHOT TONEFranchot Tone To Act In Westport Summer TheatreFranchot Tone, the stage and screen star, will appear in person at the Westport Country Playhouse for one week beginning Monday, June 19, opening the sixteenth season of the famous red-barn theatre. Mr. Tone will star in S. N. Behrman’s comedy of a dual personality titled “The Second Man.” Margaret Lindsay, on from Hollywood, will be featured in the supporting cast, and the production of “The Second Man” will be staged by Jean Dalrymple. Tickets for “The Second Man” go on sale at the Westport Country Playhouse box-office next Monday, June 12. Season subscriptions for the 12-week schedule of plays at Westport are also still available.Franchot Tone has divided his time and talents about equally between the theatre and films. His last appearance behind the footlights was in Jean Dalrymple’s production of William McCleery’s “Hope for the Best,” and it is under the aegis of Jean Dalrymple he is making his first tour of the straw-hat circuit in “The Second Man,” beginning with Westport on June 19.Mr. Tone was born in Niagara Falls, N. Y., and went to Cornell University where he acted in plays presented by the Dramatic Club, of which he was later elected president. He made his debut on Broadway with Katharine Cornell in “The Age of Innocence,” in which he scored an immediate success. His next engagements found his appearing on Broadway in leading roles in “Cross Roads,” three Theatre Guild productions: “Red Rust,” “Hotel Universe” and “Green Grow the Lilacs,” and opposite Lenore Ulric in “Pagan Lady.” One of the original members of the Group Theatre, Tone played in several productions presented by that organization including “The House of Connelly,” “1931,” “Night Over Taos,” “Success Story” and “The Gentle People.” Prior to “Hope for the Best,” his most recent Broadway appearance was in Ernest Hemingway’s “The Fifth Column.”Tone’s theatre success went with him to Hollywood, where his list of motion picture roles including appearances in “Lives of a Bengal Lancer,” “Mutiny on the Bounty,” “Bombshell,” “Quality Street,” “Three Comrades,” “They Gave Him a Gun,” “Five Graves to Cairo,” and “Dark Waters.” For his most recent film “The Man on the Eiffel Tower,” in which he co-starred with Charles Laughton, Burgess Meredith and Robert Hutton, he also acted as co-producer with Irving Allen.MISS FERRIS GRADUATESMiss Sue Ferris is among 112 seniors who will be graduated from Pennsylvania College for Women on Monday, June 12.
