LITTLE DELTA TREASURE SRIPBrings Gold Representing First Cleanup on Patterson.HAS SEVEN PASSENGERSSteamer Was Cut Out of Ice and Hauled 50 Feet to Bank.The 'steamer Little Delta, owned by Frnnk G. Manley and Roy Mad-docks, arrived this afternoon, and tied up to the bank below the Pioneer dock. She carried seven passengers in the barge, and 20 pounds of gold, belonging to C, O, Moore and representing the first cleanup on Patterson creek, in the Hot Springs district.The steamer ‘ was cut out of the Ice on the Kantishna by E. W. Miller and Ed Smith. She was on her way to the Hot Springs last tall with a load or lumber and was caught in the lee and abandoned. Miller and Smith went over the ice to gat her out before the Ice should break and carry her downstream.They had no time to lose, as the water was running over her deck. The two men arranged a capstan, and, after raising the vessel, began to shake' it on Bkids toward the shore, to get it clear from the main run of ice before the breakup.
