/Dendt of Tboinas icnlt;llcylt;On Friday afternoon last a funeral service was conducted in Pleasant Talley church for Mr. Thomas Leadley sr. by Bev. W. Walters. The deceased was an uncle of the Mr. Leadley so well known among us. He was born February 14, 1814, in Yorkshire, England. He came to America in the year, 1885 and romained in Ohio for a few/years, when he camo to Illinois. In/Uio year 1852 he moved lo Iowa and ffom thence to Oregon. Notlnng had Ween heard of him until the beginning lt;fi last October, when he arrived lier\l^ping to find his brother and sister but was disappointed to find that both of them were dead, the brother having been dead four years and the sister threo months. Shortly after his arrival he was himself taken sick, and although at times lie would rally, the imjjrovement was only brief. At length the weary wheels of life stood still. He died on the first day of June in the 69th year of his age, and was laid to rest the day following in the Pleasant Valley cemetery.
