Students honor UNH professorsDURHAM - Sixteen University of New Hampshire professors have been selected as models of excellence in their respective fields and will be honored in a collection of profile articles to be published by the university this fall. Chosen by students and their peers, recipientsof the 1998 Teaching Excellence Awards are:Jean Brierly Teaching Award - Tern Savage, philosophv and humanities. Excellence in Research - Jan Nisbet. education. Excellence in Public Service - David Ramsey, theater and dance Alumni Affairs Award for Excellence in Public Service - Janet Sable, recreation management and policy. Outstanding Assistant Professor - Kevin Short, mathematics. Outstanding Associate Professor - Jan Golinski. history.
